20 Million Diapers A Day Enter Landfills In The US

In these "green times" it is amazing to find that 20 million diapers a day enter landfills in the United States. Did you know these diapers sit in those landfills for up to 500 years?

For the last 40 years there have been but two choices in diapers. Cloth or disposable. That’s it. Now gDiapers offers a third option. Flushable. gDiapers puts waste where it belongs, in the toilet. Not the landfill.

gDiapers have no elemental chlorine, no perfumes, no smell, no garbage and no guilt. In fact, flushables are so gentle on the Earth you can even garden compost the wet ones in one compost cycle, approximately 50 – 150 days. Just think of the standing ovation you’ll get from the planet.

Why are gDiapers good for the planet?
It is simple. gDiapers flushables are designed using the Cradle to Cradle design principles of Bill McDonough and his firm MBDC. That means everything that goes into one of our flushables gets re-absorbed back into the eco-system in a neutral or beneficial way. So you are turning waste into a resource. At the same time, you are putting poop in the toilet, where it belongs, and avoiding the landfill issue all together.

What are gDiapers made of?
The materials in ‘little g’ pants, liners and flushables are designed with comfort and dryness in mind. Flushables are made of a water resistant, breathable outer material that keep bottoms dry and wetness away. It is made of all natural fiber and is 100% biodegradable. The interior uses elemental chlorine-free tree farmed fluff pulp and Super Absorbing Poly-acrylate to absorb wetness. These super absorbing lock away cells hold up to 100 times their weight in liquid.

Snap-in liners are made of breathable polyurethane coated nylon, not pvc like many diaper covers. They are easy to change and rinse out. Our liners are also breathable which helps prevent diaper rash.

Our ‘little g’ pants are made of a soft, breathable outer cotton/elastene fabric giving them a slight stretch.

The gDiapers system is designed to keep your baby dry and comfortable and the Earth a little happier. The flushable really is flushable.

The flushable fits into the snap-in liner of the colorful 'little g' pants. The liners are made of water resistant, breatheable material to keep wetness away. So your baby is never sitting in plastic that can irritate the skin and let's face it; it's icky.

Each pair of ‘little gs’ comes with a spare snap-in liner because no matter how hard we try, chances are the liner will get dirty when your baby poops. Two liners means you can re-use your ‘little gs’ all day and only swap out the liners when needed. Liners can be hand washed and dried for a quick re-use or tossed in the machine. Always try to line dry our snap in liners. Not only is it gentler on the planet, but they will last longer too.

Flushable refills contain lock away cells that hold up to 100 times their weight in liquid so your baby stays dry. The outer material of the flushable is all natural fibre and is 100% compostable. The stay dry feel keeps wetness away and ensures your baby is comfortable and happy both day and night.
